Library

At the M.O.P. Vaishnav Library, we understand that information sharing, especially in today’s technology-enhanced environment, is a complex and multifaceted process. Accordingly, the Library serves as an information resource center and tailors its services to support the institution’s vision and mission through the facilitation of information and knowledge transfer systems.  With a collection of over 38,000 volumes and 105 periodicals, the Library seeks to continuously update its print resources to support the varied information requirements of the burgeoning student populace, with emphasis on publications from Wiley, Elsevier, Sage, and other premier publishers, to ensure veracity and authenticity of the information.

Online Infrastructure

M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women is committed to its students’ continuous learning experience. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic period, the College has set up a seamless online infrastructure for its classes as well as examinations, via the Google Meet Education platform since June 2020.  The college has ensured that all students are able to access the classes and attend them from the comfort of their homes. In addition to classes, all extra-curricular and co-curricular club events have been hosted on the G-Meet platform with the combined effort of students and staff, successfully in the past year. 

Medical Services and Health Center

The College has a mini medical station on campus, called Apollo Shine to cater to the medical requirements and emergencies of students and staff. The clinic has so far taken many initiatives to promote medical awareness and organized Medical camps, eye testing, and general health check-up for faculty members. During these testing times during the pandemic, the college has been equipped with adequate sanitizing stations that are user-friendly, and every effort is taken to make the campus ‘safe’. 

AUM- Meditation Centre

The College campus provides a place to unwind, relax and meditate, for the students to momentarily step away from the everyday hustle-bustle! Designated Yoga Sessions and Meditation sessions provide a wave of calmness and composure that is essential for a student’s balanced approach.

Sports

M.O.P.Vaishnav College for Women believes in empowering women through holistic education. His systematic approach laid the groundwork to nurture many talents. The college's tireless and sustained efforts to identify pure talent, especially in the field of sports, has secured an invincible position among other colleges. The college has successfully produced 120 international players. A significant number of our students have been recruited by the State and Central Government for their excellent performance.

M.O.P.Vaishanv College for Women strongly believes in empowering women through education. As part of this initiative, the College grants preferential admission to students who have excelled in sports nationwide, and deserving students receive a scholarship, with free room and board. The college also offers merit-based scholarships. The total disbursement of the scholarship over the past 5 years was Rs. 3.41 million.
