Malankara Syrian Orthodox Church established its MOSC Medical Mission initiative as an act of submission to God with a desire to become His instrument in caring for the sick and poor.  To support this initiative, she was registered under the Travancore-Cochin Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act. MOSC Medical Mission has worked diligently to achieve what God desires and has never strayed from its noble mission of “alleviating the suffering of the community”.On September 14, 1970, the 100-bed Missionary Medical Hospital was officially dedicated, which over the years has steadily grown into a multidisciplinary hospital; a 1,100-bed high specialist tertiary medical college hospital.  MOSC Medical College Hospital is located in Kolenchery just off NH 85 Kochi-Madurai road with a large campus spread over the scenic countryside. At the educational level, the hospital has access to all clinical, preclinical, paraclinical, and super specialty departments. The healers of tomorrow will be trained and empowered by our Academy of Medicine to do their best for the physical and spiritual well-being of humanity.
