The Mohamed Sathak College of Arts and Science (MSCAS) was established in 1991 and promoted by Mohamed Sathak Trust, a public, charitable, and educational body established in 1973.
Mohamed Sathak College of Arts & Science was founded in 1991 by the Mohamed Sathak Trust with the sole purpose of providing quality education. The courses offered to reflect the broad career options available to young people today and the program is designed to make them employable as they take courses and meet business challenges with the right skills.
The coeducational establishment is affiliated with the University of Madras and accredited by AICTE. Recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) & ISO 9001: 2008.

Residential Accommodation
The management provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. The youth hostel is located within the campus itself. The capacity of the hostel is 450 people. Its functions, including the discipline of inmates, are handled by a team of staff members as well as senior officers. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes will be served. The shuttle badminton courts are located inside the hostel. A separate gymnasium is provided for the benefit of students.
Auditorium
An auditorium with a capacity of 600 persons is located near the entrance of the main building o the college. Facilities like LCD projector for presentations, elaborate audio arrangements are provided for carrying out functions like seminar and amp; Collabs effectively.
Canteen
The canteen is located adjacent to the main building of the college. College students and staff are provided with a variety of the highest quality South Indian foods and snacks. The canteen staff pays particular attention to providing students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food in the canteen.
Transportation
College buses are plying from the various parts of the city to come to the college. Students and staff can use this facility by registering at the office.
The Vision of the college is to serve the social needs and uplift the living standards of the rural youths by imparting higher education adhering not only to national but also international standards of education and fostering an enduring sense of discipline and single-minded dedication to work.
By promoting the College into an Institution of Excellence, it aims to serve the rural youth by providing them with easy access to higher education and job opportunities. The college strives towards integrated personality growth of rural students in particular and students at large in which special attention is given to their intellectual, moral, and cultural development. It inculcates discipline, a higher level of culture and time values of life among the youth.
