Mata Sahib Kaur Girls College was founded in July 1997 by Jathedar Sardar Gurcharn Singh Tohra, then Chairman of the SGPC, to educate rural girls in the Talwandi Sabo region. The school is named after the venerable mother of the Khalsa Panth, Mata Sahib Kaur Ji. The main concern was to provide a basic and values-based education to the students of a backward region. The country was blessed as “Guru Ki Kashi” by the 10th Guru Master Guru Gobind Singh Ji in the year and has since developed into an important center of learning. Our goal is to offer you education at any time and at affordable prices. An excellent curriculum is our priority. 

The college is located in the peaceful, unpolluted, and pious land of Damdama Sahib, adjacent to Takht Shri Damdama Sahib, which offers God's blessings and divine grace. Its campus covers an area of about 14 hectares of land with a large dormitory, well-equipped laboratories, and a large stadium for various games. Construction of 66 room Mata Sahib Kaur Girls College Hostel was built on April 14, 1999, under the direction of Baba Mith Singh Ji in commemoration of Sant Atar Singh ji Maharaja Mastuana. In collaboration with Jathedar Sr. Avtar Singh ji President S.G.P.C.16 new hostel rooms have been built, fully equipped with all modern appliances such as reverse osmosis, chillers, generators, geysers, etc. There's a Mesa co-op for grooms. There is a common room (living room) equipped with a big-screen TV.The hostel building is divided into 6 blocks called Mata Gujri ji, Mata Sundri ji, Mata Sahib ji, Mata Bhago ji, Mata Jitto ji and Mata Khiwi ji. Also, the Guru Granth Sahib ji is decorated in the hostel. Annual committees such as traveling committees, cafeteria committees, medical committees, television committees, cleaning committees, carnival committees, etc., including the Head Girls and Block Wardens, have distinct responsibilities related to maintaining discipline in the dormitory.
