Madras School of Social Work was founded in 1952 and is an Autonomous Institution. Residential Accommodations:

The campus has a well-furnished and air-conditioned hostel. The hostels have limited separately for male and female students. Students from outside Tamil Nadu could be admitted to the desired hostel.
