Murshidabad Medical College is a government medical college located very close to Berhampore Court train station on Station Road in the city of Berhampore, Murshidabad district. The university was founded in 2012. The hospital provides preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic community services to residents of Murshidabad, Birbhum, and North Nadia districts. The college has a capacity of 125 MBBS and is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and is recognized by the Medical Council of India. Students are accepted by NEETs.The college is also affiliated with the State Medical School (SMFWB) to offer paramedical courses according to their curriculum. There are 70 paramedic positions to be filled by students selected through the SNFWB entrance exam. The Dean of Academic Affairs is responsible for the academic and other activities of undergraduate students.
