Muthayammal Engineering College (MCE), Namakkal was established in 2000 and is running under the aegis of Muthayammal Educational Trust and Research Foundation. The college is affiliated with Anna University. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E) and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. Courses. The main objective of the college is to prepare students with high professional skills and ethical values. The college has a placement cell that conducts many programs like programs for confidence building through external experts, regular aptitude tests, group discussions, and career counseling to prepare the students for their final placement.

Facilities and Infrastructure:

Library

MES Library was established in 1994. It has 26,551 volumes of text and reference books on various disciplines. The library subscribes to 80 National and International journals and 07 leading Newspapers. The library is following the open access system and provides its service to meet the requirements of P.G.Students, M.Phil., and Ph.D. scholars, and staff members of the College. Hostel:

Separate hostels for UG students, and PG students are available. Hostel rooms are bath attached. Realizing the importance of providing pure and clean water to all students, the Management has set up mineral-water plans at a great cost. Hygienically prepared Vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is supplied to the hostellers.

Internet facility:

A 1-Gbps dedicated Internet connectivity is provided to all the departments through the local area network, which provides the opportunity for all to stay in touch with the latest Information.

Sports:

Necessary equipment and facilities for regular practice. Gymnastic equipment is provided in our college. Fee concession to the students admitted in the sports quota (those represented national, State, Divisional, and District level tournaments after evaluation) Uniforms to the participants free of cost. Placements:

Being an Engineering College, the college has a dedicated placement cell that arranges placement for the students. The aim of the cell is to find the “Right Job for the Right candidate”. The Department of Training and Placement interacts with reputed organizations all over the country for arranging campus interviews for the placement of final-year students. It makes efforts to send most of the students for in-plant training to enhance their technical ability and gain exposure to the practical world.
