Besides Newspapers both in English and Vernacular, scores of Weekly, Fortnightly, and Monthly magazines are available. 17 Journals also find a place in the Library. A conducive ambiance prevails in the library which facilitates the students to enrich and update their knowledge.

Girls Hostel
The M.V.Muthiah Government Arts College for Women has a hostel. The hostel is well protected with 38 rooms, 1 kitchen, 1 dining hall, 1 washroom, 13 water taps, 1 TV room, 1 warden room, and 22 toilets. A new hostel with adequate facilities was constructed near the old hostel.
Sports
The M.V.Muthiah Government Arts College for Women's Department of physical education has infrastructures for all indoor and outdoor games. It is headed by Dr. V. Rajalakshmi, Department of Economics is in - charge of Physical Directress, Director of Physical Education. The activities are carried out throughout the year.
Adequate facilities are available on the college campus for both outdoor and indoor sports and games for the students to practice and also to conduct inter-department and inter-collegiate sports and tournaments.
Eco club
The M.V.Muthiah Government Arts College for Women's main aim of establishing the Eco Club was to conserve the natural resources and the natural environment to create an Eco-friendly environment and create awareness of biodiversity conservation and local environmental issues among children and create a clean and green consciousness among students through various innovative methods.
The eco club plays a vital role in creating environmental awareness amongst the future generation. The Main motive of the Eco Club is to nurture and teach the importance of the environment to students.
M.V.Muthiah Government Arts College for Women Students belonging to SC/ST and backward classes get financial aid in the form of scholarships from both the Central government and the State governments. A merit scholarship is given to deserving students. A total of 566 students received SC/ST scholarships, 984 students benefitted from the backward class scholarships, 7 students got a central government scholarship and 74 students received the Rani Mangammal scholarship during the academic year 2019-2020.
Any student of any board is eligible, once, they have been out of school. To take admission based on their merit to the Undergraduate courses. Tamilnadu Higher Education has on live admission procedure and students have to take admission through the same. 55% in Graduation makes the students eligible to take admission to the post-Graduation Courses.
