Mysore College of Engineering and Management (MYCEM) is a private college located in the village of Chikkahalli in the city of Mysore, Karnataka. Mysore College was established in the year 2015.

Residential Accommodations

MyCEM presently undertakes a co-operative basis PG from only MyCEM students. Food, The washer man, and cleaners are available in the PG regularly. A PG has a common room for 2/3 students. Here, the students assemble together to study or watch television. They also discuss in groups about daily events, politics, current issues, etc. MyCEM PG generally has a well-furnished bed and tables. MyCEM PG has facilities for indoor, and outdoor games also like basketball, volleyball, badminton, etc. A student can develop his mind and body.

The Library and Information Centre is fully automated and spreads over 400 sq. m. of space. It has a seating capacity of over 150 students in the Reference section. The Library has a good collection of books, journals, and reports. The library is subscribing to international and national journals/magazines. The library offers services such as a Book borrowing facility, User guidance, and Newspaper clipping. The library is using the KOHA an integrated Library Management software package with all the modules for library housekeeping operations. The online public access catalog has more than 4.8 thousand records of books. Using OPAC, users can search the books by Author, Title, Subject, and keywords. Also, the users can get information about the latest editions of periodicals, books, and the status of the document.

MyCEM Conference hall overlooks Main Street and can accommodate 70 persons in a lecture-style setup. It is Executive Conference Room and comes equipped with a whiteboard and a projection screen. A New Conference room and Auditorium are planned with a seating capacity of 250 and an Auditorium of 800 seating capacity.

MyCEM College buses are used for student transportation during morning and evening hours, Monday through Saturday. Generally, buses are used to pick up the students from Mysore intercity to college. At the same time, another bus was used to pick up the students from the Chamarajanagar route. MyCEM has royal busses and AMBULANCE service in case of emergency for students care.

MyCEM Sports is not the sound and the fury that counts but the effort in the right direction to make a mark. Keeping this in view, it is high time that we spot our students' sports talents and provides all the necessary facilities to train them properly so as to enable them to compete with world champions with no feelings of diffidence.

Scholarships

The government of Karnataka has introduced many schemes and scholarships for the Scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and other backward classes of society. The scholarships and Schemes are listed below

This scholarship is introduced by the Backward Classes Welfare Department. Students who are a citizen of Karnataka belonging to backward classes and who are pursuing post-matric education from a college situated in Karnataka. The family's annual income should be between 1 lakh and 2 Lakh. The students will be offered Rs 3500/- each month till the course is over.

The Backward Classes Welfare Department offers this scholarship to students of backward regions pursuing undergraduate, and postgraduate courses who have a family income of less than 1 Lakh. Students will be offered Rs 1500/- each month till the course is over.

This is awarded to the students of Karnataka colleges who have scored more than 90% in the undergraduate examination and belong to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled tribes, and other backward classes who have a family income of less than Rs1 lakh.

This scholarship is for students who are pursuing engineering degrees and who have scored the highest score in their previous examinations. The students should belong to the backward classes and have an annual income of less than Rs 2 Lakh per annum. The students will be awarded Rs 5000 at the undergraduate level.

This scholarship is only for the girl students studying at the undergraduate level in Karnataka. The girl students should have a BPL card, only then they will be eligible for this scholarship. The students will be reimbursed for their CET fees.

Students who are pursuing post-matric education in the state of Karnataka and have a family income of less than Rs 2 lakh per annum. Students who have loans will be helped by the government by paying their interest for the study period.

The government of Karnataka, under this scheme, offers Rs 21,800/- to the victims of HIV and Leprosy who are pursuing post-matric education in the state of Karnataka.

Scholarship of Rs 500 for students who have scored highest in Kannada/English/Sanskrit.
