Nagaon Gopinath Dev Goswami Commerce College is the only full-fledged commerce college in the entire Central Assam region. The college started its operations on 24 September 1984 in the area of Sankardev Natya Chora as Nagaon College of Commerce.

Nagaon Gopinath Dev Goswami College of Commerce is affiliated to Dibrugarh University. The college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
