Pious and propitious were indeed the moments of that memorable day, the 31st day of December 1978 when the temple bells tolled and the entire atmosphere of Narasinghpur overflowed with their resounding resonance to open the gate-way of this shrine of higher learning write my essay. Befittingly Dr. Radhanath Rath, the Editor of "The Samaj" and a noble and notable son of mother Orissa inaugurated the establishment of this College whose blessings have a cheering and an animating influence on the inmates of this Alma Mater.

The club-building of Narasinghpur where this institution was born and brought up, the benevolent public of this area, who have contributed their might, mind and money to its growth and the staff of the college who have rendered their service and sacrifice for it is not only historic records and names, but they awaken a sense of belongingness and a spirit of possessiveness to see the blue-print of progress for this institution. The 10th February, 1983 is a red-letter day in the history of this College as Dr. M.K. Rout, the then Vice-Chancellor of Utkal University inaugurated the new home for this College at Dalkhai, two kilometres to the east of Narasinghpur town.

Facilities and Infrastructure

Library:

The staff and students of this college and other persons specially permitted by the Principal may use the library. The following are some of the library rules for the guidance of all.No books shall be taken out of the library without the knowledge of the Librarian until it has been entered in the Library Card and Issue Register and the entry has been attested by the borrower. Every borrower must examine the condition of the books before they are issued. Otherwise, in case of mutilation discovered later, an allegation will be made against the borrower.

NSS:

The main objective is to develop the personality of students through community service. Another objective are-The duration of the normal camp is one day of 8 hours. The duration of the special camping programme is at least 10 days or as decided by the programme co-ordinator, Utkal University. The N.S.S. units are managed by 3 Programme Officers. The Principal constitutes the Advisory Committee and convenes its meeting at least once in 3 months, monitors the programmes and ensures the maintenance of records and accounts.

NCC:

N.C.C. the premier youth organization of India was established in 1948 with the aim to develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and ideal of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizens. It also aims at creating human resources of organized, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the armed forces.

Computer Lab:

The critical resource that powers Computer LAB is the gifted and passionate talent pool of regular IT Professionals backed by freelance consultants and domain experts Computer LAB specializes in the digitization of high volume of raw data for comprehensive e-governance projects, Data capturing and transmitting, need-based solution, technology integration, implementation and IT services for customer care and billing for power distribution utilities.

Scholarship

All scholarships and aids are granted subject to satisfactory conduct and diligent studies. Students cannot have their Scholarships renewed in the next higher class unless they have appeared at the Annual Exam. and have secured at least 50% of their marks in the same exam.
