Computer Centre:

NIHFW has a Computer Centre with data analysis, programming, and Computer Assisted Learning (CAL) facilities. The Institute has established Campus Wide Area Network and computerized different units in the Institute. Five powerful servers are hosted in the computer center, connecting 300 PCs on the campus. Internet connectivity is provided to Faculty, Research, and Administrative staff through 1 GB NKN Connectivity. The functioning of the academic cell, administration, finance, hospital, hostel, library, stores, etc. is fully computerized under the initiatives taken by the Computer Centre.

Video Conferencing:

The Computer Centre has a 'State-of-Art' Video-Conferencing facility. The Institute will charge for providing video conferencing services to other organizations for renting out its indoor video conferencing facility.

Lecture Theater:

The institute has 10 Lecture Halls and 12 Seminar Rooms. The lecture hall and seminar rooms are large air-conditioner rooms used for instruction, teaching, seminars, etc. The importance of lecture halls and seminar rooms is so significant that all students and faculty used them for group work and other contemporary educational activities. It has a piece of audio-visual equipment, a microphone, loudspeakers to help the lecturer be heard, and projection screens to be used for large displays.

Press and Reprography:

The research, training, consultancy, administrative, and documentation activities of the Institute were supported by the Reprography Unit Institute. The background documents (modules and blocks) for the Post-Graduate Certificate Course in Health and Family Welfare Management and Hospital Management through Distance Learning were reproduced as per requirement.

Hostel:

The Institute has boarding and lodging facilities and can accommodate more than 100 persons at a time. The rooms are freely furnished and facilities of a standard room (for visitors, reading and watching TV, etc.). There is a well-equipped Mess with a dining room and kitchen having all modern facilities. The administrative functions of the hostel are fully computerized. The hostel is also connected to the campus-wide computer network.

Canteen:

The Institute runs the canteen and it provides good, hygienic food. The canteen is open on all working days. The canteen serves meals, snacks, and cold drinks at reasonable rates for employees, students, and attendants of patients. It has a seating area.

Auditorium:

The National Institute of Health & Family Welfare has one Auditorium (with 365 seating capacity), equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual facilities.

National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi  Admission

Admissions to are made through the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi, following the university's procedures and regulations. The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare admission process includes appearing for the NEET PG entrance exam. Candidates need to visit the website of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi, and download the application form. The application should be accompanied by a non-refundable application fee of INR 700 through a demand draft.

NIHFW, New Delhi Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for various courses offered by NIHFW are as follows:

• For MD (Community Health Administration): Candidates must have completed one year of compulsory rotating internship after passing the final MBBS examination and have full registration with the State Medical Council/Medical Council of India.

• For PG Diploma in Public Health Management: Candidates should have completed MBBS, BDS, B.Sc. in nursing/health science/natural sciences, or B.A. in social sciences or an equivalent qualification. They should also be involved in public health activities.

• For Diploma in Health Administration: Candidates must have completed one year of compulsory rotating internship after passing the final MBBS examination and have full registration with the State Medical Council/Medical Council of India.

• For Ph.D. in Medicine: Candidates must have a graduate and postgraduate degree with at least 60% marks. Medical/Dental candidates must have MD/MS/MDS with at least 60% marks in MBBS/BDS aggregate.
