With the expansion of the different departments in the Institute, the volume of books in the library is growing fast. The total collection of books is 20,000. The number of periodicals both from India and abroad being subscribed by in all the three centres viz. Bhubaneswar, Sundergarh and Phulbani are about 100. The library is part of the UGC-INFLIBNET and through it offers a whole range of e-journals and e-books.
Computer LabComputers have become an important part of our lives. These are used in varieties of settings within the educational field. The Computer Centre of NISWASS was established in the year 2000 with the objective of bringing computer education within the reach of the students, teachers and other staffs of the institute. Gradually the Centre has improved in infrastructure and has started Certificate and Diploma courses in computer application.
To minimise the economic hardship of the students, the Institute provides financial support to the socially and economically backward class students in the form of scholarship facility and also ensures to receive and disburse other scholarships for SC / ST / Minority / BPL / financially disadvantaged students by the UGC and Govt. of India. The institute has a scholarship scheme for the BPL category students where they get financial support annually and the amount varies as per their economic status.
