National Law Institute University is an open law school that is it is a Law University in Bhopal, India. It was established in 1997 through Madhya Pradesh's State Education Department. It is, in fact, the second law school to was established under the State Education Department. Then, The University incepts its first Law program in the year 1998.

Its National Law Institute University campus is located at the top of a hillock close to Kerwa Lake on the Kerwa Dam Road, Bhadbhada in the city of Bhopal. The campus spread is extremely well-groomed and is surrounded by beautiful greenery.

The law school is accredited as a member of the Bar Council of India and is a member of the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) in India, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Asian Law Institutes (AIL) and, International Association of Law Schools (IALS). N.V. Ramana, B.Sc., B.L., was born in an agricultural family on August 27, 1957 in Ponnavaram Village, Krishna District. He enrolled as an Advocate on February 10, 1983. He has practiced in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, Central and Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunals and the Supreme Court of India in Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, Labour, Service and Election matters. He has specialized in Constitutional, Criminal, Service and Inter-State River laws.
