The National Rail and Transportation Institute is India's first and only civil service training institute located in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. It was established in 2018.
National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI) is a deemed institution which was established in the year 2018. It's the idea and visionary leadership of the Hon'ble Premier Secretary Narendra Modi. It is also the first university that is based on studies related to transport and related subjects. The campus is within Vadodara, Gujarat.
The goal is to encourage excellence and excellence in research, training, and education in the area of transportation. Furthermore, the school was supported by the government of India. Government of India. Additionally, NRTI holds its excellence in teaching, learning development, research, and development in the area of Transport. National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI) is a public deemed to be university established in the year 2018 under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. It is India’s first university focused on transport-related education, multidisciplinary research, and training. The institute is built to develop professionals for the railway and transportation sector. NRTI is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). With a campus covering an area of 55 acres, the college has 19 faculty members. As per the official website, the mission of the institute is to focus on higher education, research, learning, and development.
The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate diploma, and postgraduate courses. Admission to all the courses other than B.Tech is done based on the NRTI Admission Aptitude Test. For Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) admission, JEE Main scores are accepted. Candidates with valid scores in CAT MAT or XAT are exempted from the entrance exam conducted by the college. For PG courses admission, candidates also need to appear for a personal interview.
NRTI has collaborated with numerous overseas universities to provide foreign exposure to students. Students who are from a financially weaker section are provided with financial aid by the college. The National Rail and Transportation Institute Vadodara campus has modern facilities and infrastructure for students.
The college is located at Lalbaug, Manjalpur, Vadodara, Gujarat. Vadodara Airport is 9.9 km away from the campus and is the nearest airport to the college. The institute provides financial assistance to students belonging to financially weaker sections of society whose annual family income is less than Rs. 1,00,000. National Rail and Transportation Institute scholarships are offered to students of all the programmes. Students' scores in the NRTI Admission Aptitude Test are taken into consideration while providing scholarships to the students. NRTI scholarships to B.Tech students are offered based on their JEE Main score. The 20% financial aid in each slab is reserved for female students. As per NRTI scholarship policy, students are offered scholarships for a period of one year.
