Facilities and Infrastructure 

Library

The library has been automated with LIBSYS software. All the books were barcoded for easy retrieval. LAN and Internet connectivity with independent nodes, a server and a jukebox for CD storage were added. A web portal of the library called ‘SpicE- Library’ was launched on 30 May 2006 by Prof. S.Kannaiyan, Chairman, NBAI, Chennai. Besides, an institutional repository named ‘D-Spice’ has been developed using the Open Software D- Space.

Laboratories

The sophisticated instruments are pooled in centralized laboratories for efficient usage and monitoring. Which includes, Centralized Molecular Biology facility, a Centralized Biochemistry laboratory, a Centralized Soil Chemistry lab, a Centralized Plant Protection lab, a GCMS facility, and a Biocontrol laboratory.  

Auditorium:

The College has a very Specious and well-equipped Auditorium Having capacity of 2500+ seats where the college organises various kinds of Programmes like Guest lectures, Cultural Events, and Debates etc.  

Medical Facilities:

Proper healthcare arrangements are made by the college. Appropriate Medical Facilities are available

Sports Facilities:

Sports facilities are available on the campus. The annual Sports event is held in the month of December every year.

Training

ICAR-National Research Center on Seed Spices has one of mandate to extend and impart training to farmers. ICAR-NRCSS conducts training to farmers on and off campus both in collaboration with state as well as central government agencies like ATMA, SAU, TSP and ISSS. Training offered is of two days, three days and five days. On various aspects of seed spices cultivation, utilisation of water productivity, usage of quality seeds and many more relevant topics of modern agriculture in connection.
