Nehru Institute of Technology is established by Founder Chairman, Late Shri. P. K. Das in the year 2008. Nehru Institute of Technology is an Endeavour of the Nehru Group of Educational & Charitable Trust which has served selflessly for the cause of higher education for the last four decades. It has emerged from the galaxy of the Nehru group of Institutions. Nehru Institute of Technology is a green campus with scenic beauty, attractive architecture, and an eco-friendly environment spread across 12.66 acres with a built-up area of 20962 square meters (including Hostel, Canteen, and Sports). The Campus has sophisticated classrooms, highly equipped laboratories, and high-standard infrastructures for supporting teaching-learning facilities with smart classrooms, e-content development centers, Seminar Halls, Tutorial rooms, a Digital library, and Computing facilities like highly configured computer laboratories and high-speed Wi-fi connectivity to the entire campus which makes the teaching-learning more effective.

Library:

Central Library is automated with the koha software package which is an integrated multi–user Library Management Software that supports all–house operations in the library. Library operations are mostly computerized especially in textbook circulation and OPAC. Bar-coding systems have been introduced for circulation and users' online Registration. The total area of the library is 8000Sqm and the seating arrangement is provided for 150 users at a time. The library follows open access system for all users.
