Established in the year 1963, the college is affiliated with the University of Calcutta and is NAAC Re-accredited with B+ (2016). Dr. Arun Kumar Bose was the founder and principal of this college.  Curving for a green oasis in South Kolkata, New Alipore College believes in the inclusivity of all and strives to make quality education accessible to all irrespective of their caste, creed, religion, gender, and economic status. Library:

New Alipore College's library is enriched with a large stock of more than 24000 books and subscriptions of journals and daily newspapers for both lending and reference purposes. The college library also has a subscription to e-Gyan Kosh, Banglapedia, e-books, chemical databases, Britannica online, CSIR-NISCAIR, etc. The college library also gives access to the students for INFLIBNET.

It's here in the Boy’s and Girl’s Common Room that life finds a more relaxed meaning. Students today need to be given a comforting zone where they can chill out from the stress of the education system. The common rooms in New Alipore College give the perfect platform for students to interact with one another, engage in cultural exchange with the rich diversity of students in our college and also relax with a game or two to lighten themselves. The common rooms are active corners of our college. They are at the heart of many activities of the college. The boy’s common room hosts a few of the most interesting programs of the college and engagement programs throughout the year. The common room gives the boys and girls of the college an opportunity to relax over a game of carom or table tennis. With multiple boards to play on, there is ample room for students of all age groups to take their turns at play.

Laboratories:

Adequate laboratory facilities are provided to all science departments. The laboratories are spacious, well planned to meet the syllabi of offered courses under the supervision of respective teachers. The laboratories are well equipped with the latest equipment to learn the proper knowledge and aspects of the subjects. The college has all laboratory equipment as approved by Calcutta University. Students are required to make adequate a proper use of these facilities.

Admission

At present, NAC, Alipore offers BA (Hons), B.Com (Hons), and B.Sc (Hons), BA, B.Com, and B.Sc programs at the UG level.

For all the UG programs, students must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board with an aggregate of at least 50% marks and 45% marks in the relevant subject.

Admission to all the UG courses will be granted based on Merit in the Class 12 examination.

Candidates can apply to any of the courses available in the college only in the Online mode followed by submission in the Offline mode.

Scholarship

The SC/ST and OBC Cell of New Alipore College has been created to ensure compliance and effective implementation of reservation policies related to SC/ST and OBC according to the provisions laid down by the Govt. of India / UGC notifications.

The fees are payable before joining the semester exam. And every month tuition fees 120. And every year new class admission fee 3500. College students get many scholarships like- the Vivekananda scholarship, and Vidyasagar scholarship. And many students get jobs on the College campus and salary of the every new joining candidate like 10k to 15k.
