Established in 2005, New B. Ed College at Nellimoodu is a self-funded teacher training college affiliated with the University of Kerala and recognized by the Government of Kerala. The college occupies 8. 5 hectares of land and is located in the suburban area of Thiruvananthapuram district, is just 20 km from the state capital, and is easily accessible by road. The college accepts 100 students in five elective courses. 

The College is owned and administered by an Administrative Committee. The Directorate also manages the Lycée de l'Aide and the self-funded Lycée de Médecine. The school is located on the college campus. The school functions as a model college school. The college has experienced and dedicated staff. The college provides transportation, a dormitory and a canteen for students and staff.
