NIFT-TEA was born out of the educational vision of Tirupur Exporters to create an innovative initiative to extend all-encompassing education & intensive training in the niche arena of Knitwear. Established in 1997 with the support from the Ministry of SSI & ARI, Government of India, and ICICI, NIFT-TEA continues to be the first and only one of its kind not just in India, but across the world as well.NIFT-TEA is an exclusive institute dedicated to the fashion and knitwear industry offering various Diploma, Under Graduate, and Post Graduate Degree Programmes in textile, fashion, garment & Management fields.

NIFT-TEA Knitwear Fashion Institute does not presently have any collaboration with NIFT, New Delhi. Programs at NIFT-TEA are well recognized by fashion and garment industries for their placement. The main building accommodates lecture halls, Smart Classrooms. The adjacent building right to the academic block was the research and training laboratories block. And the adjacent building left to the academic block was the administrative block having a draping lab, IT Lab & library on its first, and a full-fledged auditorium on the second floor.
The campus has a vast expanse of green dotted with facilities for cultural, recreational, and sports activities. The campus is in every sense a melting pot for diverse interests, influences, and cultures that blend to create the unique strength that represents NIFT-TEA.

Library:

Explanation: Water will flow from a well in the sand in proportion to the depth to which it is dug, and knowledge will flow from a man in proportion to his learning - The more you learn, the freer streams of wisdom flow. In each Institution Library plays a vital role in the development of Students as well as the Staff community. The library becomes a knowledge resource center started in all Institutions, not only for statutory purposes but also for the real development of Students & Faculties. NIFT-TEA College of Knitwear Fashion situated in the Tirupur area, started in 1997, mainly concentrating on Knitwear Industry related to fashion and also with Management. Institute concentrating on the Students to educate in all the ways relating to the Knitwear Industry and Fashion world from Top to Bottom.

Auditorium:

Sasurie College of Engineering provides well-equipped spacious Seminar Halls with air conditioning facilities and built-in LCD monitors for various technical Expos,  Symposiums, and Conference events for better quality education for the students.

Hostel:

NIFT-TEA’s College Hostel has a magnificently designed hostel for men and women with all the necessary amenities for boarding and other recreational activities. The hostel has its own Canteen to provide healthy and hygienic food to the students. The Canteen is maintained on a cooperative basis.

Sports Facilities:

NIFT-TEA campus life accommodates a prolific range of co-curricular activities as part of its daily routine. Apart from ensuring the physical well-being of students, it is also essentially a way of life for NIFT-TEA-cans and helps them come together on numerous occasions in a spirit of healthy rivalry and true sportsmanship. Whether it is a casual face-off between friends, intra-college championships, or inter-college tournaments organized, students of NIFT-TEA have proved their worth in the field of sports time and again. The Department of Physical Education and Sports regularly organizes training camps and courses and is well-equipped with appropriate facilities.

NIFT-TEA is a foodies paradise with eateries located across the college campus. These serve wholesome cuisine for the health consciousness and fast food for those intended in a quick bite between classes.

Admission:

Students who have secured admission to the college may apply for a hostel through a prescribed application along with the receipt for accommodation in the hostels. Selection is based on merit, geographical location, and economic condition of the candidate. The selected candidate will be informed within 15 days of receiving the application. A selected candidate needs to pay the hostel fees within 7 days. Failure to pay the fees within the stipulated time would result in cancellation of the admission.

Placement:

The textile industry is the second largest sector requiring enormous human resources. Our Institute strives to cater to the technical and managerial needs of the textile-related industry and to empower individuals with an entrepreneurial base. The institute has a deep commitment to arranging fitting careers for the students. In this respect, an experienced placement officer is serving efficiently with the target of 100% placement. The strength of our institute is student satisfaction. we understand the importance of placement service to the student so our placement cell was established in the year of 1998. So we maintained a 100% placement record till 2016. we hope we will maintain the same for this year also not only for regular students but even for our part-time students also place in reputed organizations. We understand the importance of industry relationships for continual growth so our cells have good interaction with the industry we supply manpower around the year according to the industry requirements.
