The National Post Graduate College was founded in  1974 by the late Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh,  Chandra Bhanu Gupta. The college is located near the banks of the Gomti River in the heart of the city it has a leafy campus and is surrounded by a number of leading academic and administrative institutions. In a city of 16 universities and more than 150 undergraduate colleges, National P.G. Magazines and Publications

Abhivyakti is an annual college magazine. Students and teachers contribute to the publication by presenting their original writings including poems, short stories, articles, short stories, and material on other topics of interest. The magazine also features various sports, extracurricular activities, and major events from the previous year in college, such as color and monochrome photography. Extraordinary achievements of the students along with their photographs are also published in the college magazine "Abhivyakti ".
