Nitte Rukmini Adyanthaya Memorial Polytechnic established by the Nitte Education Trust in 1982, was the first private polytechnic started in the undivided South Kanara district. The Institute, affiliated to the Board of Technical Examination, Bangalore, is recognized by the Government of Karnataka and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. From year 2001, the Institution has been recognized as Government Aided Institution.NRAMP, housed in the NET campus at Nitte, is located at a distance of 53 km from Mangalore and 30 km from Udupi. Being adjacent to the State highway from Padubidri to Kudremukh, transportation to and from the campus is hassle-free with a plethora of express and local buses along with college buses plying the route. Nitte Rukmini Adyanthaya Memorial Polytechnic (NRAM) was the first Polytechnic college in south Kanara District and it got recognized as Government Aided Institution in 2001. The institution offers a 3-year diploma degree in 5 branches of Engineering.

Sports 

Nitte Rukmini Adyanthaya Memorial Polytechnic, Udupi Sports Physical Education Department of NRAM Polytechnic Nitte organized the Udupi and Dakshina Kannada District Inter Polytechnic Men's Volleyball and Women's Throwball Tournaments on 15th December 2022 at B. C. Alwa Memorial Indoor Stadium Nitte. Sri. Rajesh B.S., the sports coordinator of the college, welcomed the gathering. The tournament was inaugurated by Sri A. Yogeesh Hegde, Director, Campus Maintenance & Development, Nitte off-Campus Centre. Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT, and Sri Shyamsundar M, Sports Administrator, NET Campus, were the guest of honor. Sri Prashanth Kumar K, the Principal of NRAM Polytechnic, presided over the program.

Computer Lab

The Nitte Rukmini Adyanthaya Memorial Polytechnic, Udupi Computer Lab has 70 computers. NRAM-licensed software was installed on 30 computers for UGC-supported online course LAN is available in the laboratory In 2012 language laboratory was launched. The faculty uses it as a teaching tool in teaching the language to English elective students. This helped improve students' vocabulary and pronunciation. Computer labs that have been enabled with high-speed internet connection are made available to all the students of the college for helping them learn better.

Placements

NRAM Udupi placement records of the college have been consistent in recent years with an average number of students being recruited by reputed organizations within the nation. The college has a placement cell which looks after the students in their final year by training them, taking mock interviews, seminars, workshops, and developing communications skills, soft skills and thus boosting their confidence. Several students were placed from each branch.

Admission

The college admits students based on meritorious ranking obtained in SSLC or equivalent examinations. However, for Apparel Design and Fabrication Technology, interested students are required to come for an interview. Soon after the interview, they need to pay the prescribed fee. They also need to pay a Registration fee of INR 350/- at Nitte by cash and submit the documents asked i.e., xerox of mark sheet, birth certificate, passport size photograph along with the application form.

2. Fill out the application form with all the needed and appropriate details.

3. Pay the prescribed application fee and submit the form.

4. The candidates then need to go to the given college after DTE counseling after the confirmation of admission for submitting and verifying their documents to finalize the admission.
