Padmabhushan Sri N.Ramaswami Ayyar Memorial Polytechnic College for Girls, Tiruchirappalli offers courses in engineering and technical education, approved by AICTE, New Delhi, to women candidates selected according to state-prescribed norms, using State Board of Technical Education developed curriculum and evaluation system to meet the needs of industry and community. The institution is aided by the government and also runs self-supporting courses and is expected to fulfill all government rules and regulations. It is administered by the governing council and has the responsibility to uplift the community by offering training, consultancy, and other related services. Padmabhushan Sri N. Ramaswami Ayyar Memorial Polytechnic College for Girls is a part of our educational complex which is named after its founder. The polytechnic college was started in the year 1981 by the Managing Trustee Sri R.Panchapakesan in memory of his father Padmabhushan Sri N. Ramaswami Ayyar who had a great dream of providing job-oriented technical education to girls.

Hostels-

The polytechnic hostel provides accommodation for nearly 100 students. Under the able administration and guidance of our management, the inmates of the hostels enjoy perfect peace within the campus. A lady doctor is frequently visiting the hostel students. Stationery and flower stalls are available to the inmates.

Library-

The library is well equipped with many volumes of books covering all the Disciplines. A number of daily newspapers, twenty-one weekly/monthly periodical magazines covering the general / engineering section, and many national & international journals are also available. Our polytechnic has an audio Visual Room playing a vital role in curricular development with Internet, Video conferencing, Projector, Satellite TV, and Electronic resource facilities.

Audio/Visual Room:

This is effectively used for classroom instructions, organizing courses under continuing Education Cell, I.S.T.E, students chapter, Placement & Training cell, and video conferencing.

Sports:

All the students are highly motivated to take an active part in Physical Education. Play centers for indoor games are maintained in our Institution. There is also a yoga center within the premises, Separate places to play Volleyball, Ball badminton, Tennikoit, Kho-Kho, Basket Ball, and Hand Ball are available. Every year a large number of students participate in the Games / Athletic Competitions conducted by the Inter Polytechnic Athletic Association(IPAA) at District and State Levels.

Canteen:

A canteen is functioning on the campus. It provides snacks, tiffin, meals, and beverages for staff, students, and visitors.

Placements:

The following activities are being carried out by the training and placement cell of the polytechnic college.1.In plant training in private, public sector and government organizations is arranged for many of our current students.2.. The students are suitably guided for their career choice and advancements continuously by the internal faculty and also inviting experts from the nearby industries.3. Constant interaction is being maintained with the potential employers by the placement officer so that many of our pass outs gain employment at various heavy, electronics, IT industries, and government organization through campus and off campus interviews.
