Parul Institute of Technology came into existence in the year 2010 and is now a part of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, functioning under the aegis of Parul University under the Gujarat Private University Act 2009, after legislation passed by the Government of Gujarat on 26th March 2015 giving University status to Parul Group of Institutes functioning under the aegis of Parul Arogya Seva Mandal Trust. 

The Institute offers an Eight-semester Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) course, a four-semester Master of Technology (M. Tech.) course, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in various engineering disciplines under the aegis of Parul University. Parul Institute of Technology is to furnish understudies with a sound engineering education, upgrade the comprehension and use of technical designing standards, for techno financial advancement of the nation and improve the quality of life of our citizens through teaching, research, and outreach programs.

Parul Institute of Technology offers B.E/B. Tech program in the branches of Civil, Mechanical, Automobile, ECE, Electrical, CSE, Chemical, Instrumentation and control, Mechatronics, Bio-medical and Agricultural Engineering, ME/M Tech courses in Chemical, Production, CSE, ECE, Power Systems, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. Facilities and Infrastructure:

he Institute has state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities. All the basic amenities required for students are present on the college campus. 

Classrooms:-

The Institute has spacious classrooms which are well-ventilated. It provides a perfect environment for both teaching and learning. The classrooms at Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology have an audio-video facility with OHPs and PA systems, comfortably designed benches with a theatre setup, well-equipped laboratories, wifi facility, whiteboards, soft boards, a demonstration area, etc.

Library:

The library at the Institute provides all the resources to the students. More than 1,43,950+ books, 447+ periodicals, journals and magazines, and more than 8,582 CDs/ DVDs/ Floppies on various subjects such as Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Homoeopathy, Physiotherapy Science, Commerce, Arts, Social Work, Medical, Paramedical, Law, Vocational Education, Computer Science, etc. are present.

It also has 185 Indian Standards Codes, more than 3,311 Bound Periodicals [Back volumes of Useful Journals], 2,385+ Dissertation and Thesis, and 20 Newspapers are regularly subscribed by the various libraries of the Parul University. The library has a spacious stock Room, Reading Halls for staff and students. Students can visit the library from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. [Monday to Saturday] and Sunday time from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Cafeterias:

The Institute has a separate space allocated for students to hang out.

The cafeteria at the Institute serves a perfect atmosphere where students can discuss and bring in innovative thoughts.

All hostels have spacious dining halls and messes that serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner as per the daily menu with a special diet on Sundays.

Computer and Internet:

PIET, Vadodara has a state-of-the-art network infrastructure. This network has a fiber optics backbone with one or more fiber segments reaching every building on the campus. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, making it easy for students to get access to the online resource. The Institute has 279 MBPS Internet Bandwidth. Every classroom is equipped with an LCD projector, a PC & IP HD Camera.

Seminar Hall and Auditorium:

An excellent auditorium is present on the campus. It is spread over an area of 600 sqm of carpet area and has a seating capacity of 420 people. The centralized air-conditioned auditorium has lighting, audio-video playback, a slide projector, a cue light system; audio/ video feeds for camera crews, a fixed talkback facility, additional talkback, headsets, a video tripod, etc. The Institute has six seminar halls having varied seating capacities of 50 to 175. These serve as a venue for convocation programs, conferences, expert/ guest lectures, cultural activities, celebrations, functions, and gatherings.

Transportation:

PIET, Vadodara provides transportation facilities to its students. Four thousand students and 1,000 staff members residing in various regions of Vadodara city safely and comfortably commute every day to Parul University by 63 buses and 20 passenger vans. 

Healthcare Facility:

There is an excellent medical facility at the campus. The Institute has a separate space allocated for hospitals. Hospitals are equipped with all Clinical Departments, Advanced Radiology & Pathology Departments, 20 bedded Intensive Care Units, Operation Theatres, Dialysis Units, Physiotherapy Units, and particular neurological units.

Sports Facility:

Apart from academic excellence, the Institute focuses on the overall development of the candidate. Students are encouraged to take part in sports activities at the Institute. The Institute conducts various outdoor & indoor sports activities throughout the year. Cricket Ground, Basketball court, Volleyball Court, Hand Ball Court, Badminton court, Football Field, Table Tennis, Chess, Carom are available at the student's corner.

Hostel:

The Institute has separate hostels for both boys and girls. It has a capacity of 1,000+ students. All hostels have 24-hour water [timely hot water in winter], electric supply, wifi, etc. The hostels have a gym and mess facilities are well.
