Patliputra University, Patna was established on 18th March 2018, by the order of the Government of Bihar, vide Letter/memo no. 15/M1-71/2016-700, dated 09.04.2018. All the schools of Patna and Nalanda districts, Bihar (India), fall below the jurisdiction of Patliputra University besides the ones connected to Patna University. 

The University has manipulated over 25 constituent schools, authority ladies schools, 3 minority schools, and some of the affiliated schools. Many of those schools are going for walks in university-authorized post-graduate centers on numerous topics except skill-orientated publications in vocational and technical/expert areas. These affiliated units are ruled by their governing nearby bodies and duly constituted control board authorized via way of means of the university.
