Pazhassiraja College was established in the year 1982 in the picturesque Wonderland of Wayanad District of Kerala situated on the eastern slopes of the Western Ghats. The College is affiliated to the University of Calicut and was founded by the 'Pazhassiraja Education Society' which was formed to cater to the needs of the local people in Higher Education. The founder Manager of the college is the late T.U. Jacob, the then President of the Society. The college started functioning on the 20th of October 1982.

The College lab is fully air-conditioned and equipped with 40 systems separated as cubicles. Internet facility is available in the computer lab. ICT enabled the teaching-learning process to be effectively implemented for the academic progress of students in the lab. The department is also offering a Diploma in Computer Applications (DCA) course conducted by the Centre for Continuing Education, Kerala ( CCEK), an initiative of Govt. of Kerala. The students can join the course along with the regular UG and PG programs. Students are requested to avail of these facilities to the maximum extent possible. Practical classes are conducted in the lab for B. Sc. Microbiology and B A Travel and Tourism courses.

Cafeteria:

The college has a spacious canteen facility inside the campus. It can accommodate 70 students and 20 teachers simultaneously for dining. Staff members and students have separate dining halls inside the canteen complex. A variety of Kerala-specific food and snack items are served to the campus community by maintaining high quality. During special occasions, the canteen will arrange a special menu as per request. The canteen has a large cooking space and the kitchen staff takes extra care to serve nutritious and hygienic food. It provides breakfast, lunch, and evening snacks on all working days. The Management of the Canteen is directly under the control of the College Administration. The contract of the Canteen will be renewed every year. The periodical meeting will be conducted by the team of Management and Contractor in order to appraise the function of the Canteen. The canteen and the surroundings are always kept neat and tidy. The management is fully committed to keeping the quality of the canteen for the utmost benefit of all concerned.

Sports:

The College offers sports and games facilities to every student who desires to develop his/her potential abilities and qualities for sportsmanship, team spirit, and physique. The college conducts a two-day annual sports meet regularly and the winners will be given chances to participate in various other competitions outside the college. The College promotes all types of games and special coaching is given for Basketball, Football, Kabbadi, Cricket, Kalaripayyattu, Shuttle badminton, Volleyball, etc. Every year new players are admitted to the teams through a selection process.

Auditorium:

The college is equipped with a highly sophisticated Conference Hall viz. Chithrasala. This air-conditioned hall is equipped with 100 comfortable seats and the most modern acoustic system. The hall has been designed to conduct programs like National Seminars, Workshops, and Film Festivals.

Hostel:

The College Hostel for the girl students of the college is located on the Campus itself. The principal of the college is the ex-officio Chief Warden of the Hostel. The Hostel is managed by the Bethany Sisters of the Bathery Province. The Hostel can provide accommodation for nearly 150 students.

Convenience Store:

The College students can buy Text Books and other study materials from the college store situated near the Canteen. Essential stationery materials are also made available in the store. The store is working from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.

Faculty: 

Highly qualified faculties are posted there. They are placed here through interviews They always teach beyond the Textbook and provide new information to students every day. All faculties are good in their own subject and related ones

Placement: 

From the 2nd semester onwards the placement gets. 60% above are eligible for it. My plan after my degree was the literature field. And continue my research through it. The good mark was offered good placements in their studies.
