PGP College was established in the year 1994. It is located in the Namakkal, Karur NH-7. The PGP College of Arts and Science was established by our beloved Chairman Dr. Palani G.Periyasamy M.A., M.A., Ph.D. (USA). The state-of-the-art facilities in the college encourage the students to develop their various skills. The college runs in an eco-friendly environment and produces healthy education for the students. Our College offers 18 courses at the U.G. level and 17 at the P.G. level. Research work has also been growing steadily alongside these courses. We start offering M.Phil and Ph.D. (part-time and full-time) courses in the year 2007. The PGP CAS takes care to give in the young individual an integrated personality

Infrastructure and Facilities:

Hostel:

This facility is available for both boys and girls. The hostel at PGP College of Arts & Science can accommodate over 1900 boys and 600 girls in single, double, and triple-sharing rooms. Facilities such as Wi-Fi, RO water purifier, mess, and canteen are available for the comfort and convenience of students.

Library:

The central library of this college is set on an area of 5000 sq. ft. It sees foot traffic from 500 students on a daily basis. The air-conditioned library boasts a collection of over 25000 volumes. Students and faculty can also access 92 national journals, 56 international journals, and 526 e-journals. The library is also fitted with a video lecture hall where IIT professors through NPTEL deliver lectures.

Laboratories:

The campus is equipped with laboratories required by students belonging to different branches. They are air-conditioned and fitted with modern amenities and equipment for practical sessions. Independent internet labs are available, with computers loaded with required software according to different branches.

Transport:

A fleet of college buses provides transportation to students commuting daily from neighboring towns.

WIFI:

The entire PGP campus is provided with a Wi-Fi facility. Provision for printing within the campus makes it a self-sufficient hub for working on projects, thesis, etc.
