PGP Group of Educational Institutions founded by Dr Palani G Periasamy Academician and Entrepreneur has been functioning in Namakkal for approximately 25 years. The objective of the college is to educate students to practice comprehensive and holistic nursing care in the hospital as well as in the community. The college provides a well-equipped infrastructural facility to the students also under which the library carries 5,000 books of current Medical and Nursing titles and 25 subscribed journals. It has placement offers at Apollo Hospital Kovai Medical Center and Hospital Ganga Gem for students.

Anti Ragging:

“Ragging” a social menace, as such has no place in the academic environment of the Institute and concerted efforts are required to be in place to prevent its occurrence at any point of time. The Anti-Ragging Squad- office bearers will work under the Supervision of Anti Ragging Committee and to engage in the works of checking places like Hostels, Buses, Canteens, Classrooms and other places of student congregation. Anti-Ragging Committee can be worried in designing techniques and movement plan for curtailing the Menace of Ragging inside the university by adopting array of activities.

Laboratory:

Nursing foundation laboratory covers 2200 sq.feet of the vicinity as in keeping with the norms .we have a well-equipped Lab with 20 beds, 6 manikins for practicing various nursing procedures including CPR. It aimed at helping the students to acquire knowledge, understand and develop skills in techniques of nursing procedures and practice them in clinical and community settings. Community fitness nursing laboratory covers the vicinity of a thousand sq. ft. This laboratory, is equipped with community bags, bag techniques, and various audiovisual aids related to community health concerns. The charts, flashcards, flipcharts, and models are well organized for student use. Every student gets the opportunity to update this section during their course.

Library:

The Library has developed an excellent collection of books, journals and non-book material in Nursing, humanities, social sciences and management. It maintains separate collections of Reference Books, Bound volumes of journals, Thesis, Video Cassettes, Compact Discs and Microforms.

Transport:

College operates buses for the convenience of students and staff coming from in and around the city The students are privileged to have transport facilities that enable them to reach all areas of clinical posting. This transport facility is also used for various educational purposes like field trips, industrial visits and recruitments.
