Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology established in 2009, is affiliated with the University of Mumbai and is approved by AICTE. It is accredited with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC. PHCET offers engineering courses in various disciplines at the UG and PG level. Admission to the courses offered by the institute is done based on the candidate’s performance in entrance exams.

Facilities and Infrastructure

PHCET has provided an adequate number of washrooms for girls and boys on every floor and a common room with facilities for resting. If any student, faculty, or staff is unwell they can use the facility of the common room to take rest during college hours. People who are differently-abled and those who suffer from temporary setbacks due to accidents, etc. are given the support needed. PHCET provides special needs for students who are unwell and injured. Friendliness and compassion are part of the ethos of PHCET.

PHCET provides transport at a subsidized rate for students and free for the faculty and staff and provides considerable security with respect to travel-related accidents and other difficulties that people encounter on a daily basis. The college bus arrives and departs at fixed times to ensure faculty and students are never late.

Emergency medical care and first-aid are available on campus with one Medical Practitioner and one Nursing Assistant. General medicines are made available in the center. First-aid boxes with all accessories are kept in all laboratories where moving machinery is installed and other strategic locations. An Ambulance with all facilities is available in the institute for emergency services. In case of emergency, students will be taken to the Hospital for treatment through a standby ambulance service that is available 24/7. Principals, doctors, and staff take care of the medical complaints of students and pass on information to parents.

First aid is an important tool in quickly responding to accidents to ensure that injuries can be efficiently and promptly dealt with before a trained medical professional arrives to administer more specialized treatment. PHCET has a first aid room with a resting facility and a doctor on call. In case of any major case that cannot be handled in-house, the patient is immediately taken to a hospital close by. PHCET considers providing the best possible medical help under the prevailing conditions with no questions asked.

There is 24/7 security on the campus; both male and female security guards the premises. CCTVs are deployed across the campus for round-the-clock surveillance. On every floor, lab, and library CCTVs are installed to monitor the activities taking place. When students know they are being watched, they are usually on their best behavior. Surveillance cameras keep track of who is coming in and out of the college and monitor students' and teachers' behavior. Security cameras make it easier for security staff to keep track of students and teachers and better understand who should or should not be on college property.

PHCET is situated in a region of heavy rainfall. However, during summer the whole region faces curtailment of water supply due to heavy industrial and commercial demand. Hence, the conservation of water is a necessity. PHCET campus is planned for conserving and maintaining resources to fulfill the demand for water. The recharge tube well and aquifer pit have dimensions 1.5M x 1.5M x 2M, which collect water from surface runoff water and are surrounded by sewers. The recharge pits are strategically placed in the vicinity to replenish ground water which helps to maintain the groundwater level even during the summer.

Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology is committed to creating awareness about the benefits of renewable sources to society, in this campus 10 kwp Rooftop solar system is installed and the Generated energy is utilized for Street lights on the campus.
