The Trust with an ambition to provide teacher training to the youth of Tamil Nadu established PPG College of Education (Co-Education) in the year 2005. The Post Graduate degree course in Education -M.Ed. was started in the year 2006. Since then the college has been producing hundreds of teachers as nation builders. Today it has evolved as one of the prestigious colleges of education in Tamil Nadu. The college is recognized by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu, affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, and accredited with an 'A' Grade by NAAC.

PPGCE Infrastructure and Facilities

PPGCE Science Laboratory

The college has well furnished Physical Science Laboratory for preparing the student teachers in teaching experimental science.  

PPGCE Computer Laboratory

Our trainees have access to a computer lab for technological research. It's also used to build a blog, learn programming, and improve basic computer skills. This will help students define their future career objectives, entrepreneurship, and job prospects. The college provides a well-maintained computer lab with internet service for students.

PPGCE Psychology Laboratory

A psychology lab with several psychological tools is operating in the college in order to realize the educational implications of psychological theories and principles. It provides students with knowledge of numerous psychological tests and experiments. Students take an active role in learning about and comprehending mental processes and behavior.

In PPG College of Education, the lab has a large collection of psychological tests, charts, equipment, and batteries. There are almost 60 tests and 15 pieces of equipment related to various aspects of human Psychology.

PPGCE Educational Laboratory

Educational technology lab provides an opportunity for students to understand in a better way from a computer-aided learning process. It has an interactive whiteboard too. It features LCD and OHP projectors, slide projectors, and other teaching-learning aids. 

PPGCE Language Laboratory

A Language Lab equipped with cutting-edge technology has been established to improve spoken English and writing communication. Students and faculty members receive 90 hours of training at three levels via a well-designed syllabus. This lab was established to give students with world-class facilities for learning the English language and developing their vocal strength.

PPGCE Multipurpose Hall

Apart from the auditorium college includes a huge multipurpose hall that may be used to host a variety of academic and co-curricular events. It has the capacity to hold more than 200 students.

PPGCE B.Ed – Classrooms

A large, well-ventilated classroom is ideal for improving the teaching-learning process. There are twelve classrooms in the college for B.Ed. classes, each having the required area according to NCTE norms.

PPGCE M.Ed – Classrooms

The college has very spacious classrooms each having an area of about 30'*20'sq.ft. All the classrooms are fully ventilated and equipped with chalkboards and adequate furniture as per norms.

PPGCE Library

The library is a vital tool for implementing progressive approaches. In the library, everyone gets what they want and can go where they can. The library is thus a single platform to which all students have equal access.

PPG College of Education offers a computerized library for every student. It can accommodate around 70 students. The library has 6707 books in total. The reference room has the latest books for TNPSC, TRB, and UGC NET. There are now 2 newspapers, 8 magazines, and 13 journals. There are also 20 dictionaries, 302 reference books, and 45 encyclopedias. 

Scholarship

The college applies Adi-Dravidar and Tribal Welfare (State) Scholarship for SC, SC Converted Christians, and ST students, and also Minority Scholarship for Muslim students.
