The Head Office of the Kendra is housed in its five-storey complex. It is situated in Sector 35-B, Chandigarh, a city known worldwide as City Beautiful. The complex which was constructed at a cost of Rs. 40 lakh with financial assistance provided by the Department of Culture, Government of India, was inaugurated on 22nd February, 1989 by Sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan.
Pracheen Kala Kendra, established in 1956 is an institute dedicated to Art & Culture on the state of Chandigarh. It is affiliated to Kurukshetra University. Kendra operates its 3500 affiliated centers all over the nation and even some abroad to develop the skills of the students in the arena of Dance, Music, and Fine arts throughout the world. It offers diploma and certification courses across classical dance, classical music, recitation, and fine arts.

Auditorium:Bhaskar Rao Indoor Auditorium is established with the seating capacity of over 150 persons at a time to conduct any special events/ Monthly Baithaks.
Prarambhik is the initial and essential course for all the other four courses. Mere pass in 10th examination is the basic admission criteria at Kendra. For getting admission to the final Churamani course, one needs to complete all the 4 courses first. Admission takes place solely with the decision of college management Candidates can apply for this examination offline.
There are regular schemes of scholarships for meritorious students based on their performance in examinations that are conducted by Kendra. Students receiving those scholarships get opportunities for further education and training under well-experienced teachers of the Kendra. After completing their training they receive assistance in obtaining placements in private & public educational institutes.
