Facilities Infrastructure of Presidency University, Bengaluru

1. Residential Accommodation:

The University has a good hostel facility separate for boys and girls. To meet future needs, a new block of state-of-the-art hostels is set to provide additional capacity to accommodate 450 students close to the university campus. Resident students benefit from furnished accommodation consisting of a cot, chair, wardrobe, Wi-Fi, etc. Each hostel has its own dining room and independent common rooms, TV, etc. The hostel has an indoor playground. The hostel provides hot and cold drinking water. Transportation is provided for female students on weekends and holidays to travel to the nearby new town of Yelahanka for shopping.

2. Library: 

Presidency University (PU) Library which occupies an important place in the academic life at the university is located on the first floor of the old university block. It has reading facilities, study booths, periodicals display, a reference section, stacking area, internet stations, etc.

3. Transport:

The university has 12 dedicated buses and it also provides pick up and drop services to the students and staff from campus to different parts of the city on approved routes that cover much of the city.

4. Computer Labs:

The University has two state-of-the-art computing centers which are added feathers to the university’s learning architecture. The data center has 120/[240] high-end Dell systems and 120 thin client machines. The center operates two high-performance specialized servers. In addition, the Center has a 24-hour Wi-Fi connection.

5. Conference Hall:

Spacious and air-conditioned lecture classrooms and conference halls are equipped with the latest audio-visual facilities for an enhanced learning experience.  Conference halls that accommodate large groups at a time are used often for seminars and group meetings.

6. Health Care Facility:

Presidency University has an in-house health clinic exclusively for its students, staff, and faculty, and it remains open throughout the week. The University also has tie-ups with the top hospitals in Bengaluru—ensuring proper medical care and attention to all members of the university.

7. Sports Facilities:

The Sports department has excellent facilities and well-trained sports instructors headed by an experienced Director of Physical Education. Facilities and ample spaces are available for outdoor sports; volleyball, basketball, hockey, football, kho-kho, and cricket. Facilities for table tennis, different indoor games, badminton courts, and exercise rooms are also available for university students. A well-equipped gymnasium is also coming up.

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Engineering [B.E/B.Tech/ M.Sc.] in the relevant field from any Indian or Foreign University, recognized by UGC, having obtained at least 50% of marks in the aggregate [45% in the case of reserved Category Candidates].
