Presidency University's library boasts a distinctive and extensive collection of books, periodicals, manuscripts, and multimedia resources developed over almost two centuries. This repository includes rare reference materials and a multitude of significant documents and journals.
Originally established as an undergraduate boys' hostel for Presidency College, Kolkata, the Government Eden Hindu Hostel has evolved. In 1988, this heritage building underwent an expansion to accommodate postgraduate students and research scholars from Presidency College. Notably, it stands as one of the country's largest hostels, with a history that includes hosting the first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad.
The Presidency University Girls' Hostel, in its fourteenth year, offers secure accommodation for female students hailing from distant locations. Housing 91 boarders, including undergraduates and postgraduates, the hostel is equipped with its own well-stocked library and recreation center. To meet growing demand, a vertical extension of the existing hostel building is underway.
Presidency University has established an agreement with nearby Calcutta Medical College to provide emergency medical facilities for students and staff residing on or off campus.
