Ptva's Sathaye College library, established in 1959 alongside the inception of the college, has evolved significantly over the years to cater to the academic needs of students and faculty. Initially, the library started with two faculties, namely Arts and Science. In 1975, a Junior College Library was established, encompassing all three faculties: Arts, Commerce, and Science. Subsequently, in 1980, +2 Vocational Minimum Competency Courses were introduced, followed by the introduction of the Commerce Faculty in 1982-83.

Today, the library boasts an extensive collection comprising approximately 72,000 books covering diverse subjects across thirty-two departments. Additionally, it houses 32 popular magazines, 58 academic journals, nearly 842 CD ROMs, 480 NFDC films, 7500 exclusive reference books, 12 daily newspapers, and 1010 bound volumes of journals.
