Rajdhani Engineering College (REC), Bhubaneswar was established in the year 2006 by Samriddhi Educational Trust, Odisha, with a group of highly talented professionals in the field of Education, Industry, Engineering and Technology over the years. The college is functioning at Bhubaneswar near Mancheswar Railway Station in a sprawling campus of 15 acres near the well-known Mancheswar Railway station 5km. away from the world-famous Nandankanan Zoological Park. The institute is well connected by road, rail and air. It is 5km. away from NH-5, 1km. away from Mancheswar Railway station and 8 km from Biju Patnaik International Airport, Bhubaneswar. Facilities and Infrastructure

Separate hostels for both boys and girls are available at REC, Bhubneswar • The hostel can house up to 1100 students • Attached bathroom facility is available for almost all the rooms • The hostels are visited regularly by the warden and the principal to take stock of the well-being of the students.

The Institute has an excellent cafeteria with a seating capacity for more than 200 persons. It has a well-planned hygienic kitchen run by a reputed caterer at administered prices. Multi-cuisine lunch and snacks are being served in the cafeteria. They provide veg and non-veg menus simultaneously on all days. A fast food restaurant-cum-convenience store is also there.

The Rajdhani Engineering College Central Library is the soul of the institution and it acquires, processes, preserves and disseminates information to the user community with the motto of empowering knowledge. It has an extensive collection of books, scientific and technical journals and electronic reference materials for satisfying the academic and research needs of the students and faculty. The Library and Information Centre consist of a Reference Section, Circulation Section, Periodical Section, Book Bank and Digital Library. The library has automated all its library activities to provide an effective and wide range of academic resources such as books, journals, and online databases. In addition to the central library, the departmental library system is being developed for all the branches by the management.

GREC provides 24×7 Medicare for all our students and staff. Healthcare facilities for students and staff are felt to be a basic need. Healthcare facilities are available round the clock at the REC Health Centre and also in hostels. A doctor has been appointed as a College Doctor. The Health Centre functions to provide immediate medicinal and first aid to all students and staff if the situation arises. The Health Centre is well equipped concerning the availability of basic health-related facilities like a thermometer, sterilizer, autoclave, dressing drum, weight measuring machine, B. P. Apparatus, patient bed and stretcher etc. Regular Health Check-up camps are organized with active support from hospitals and Medical Colleges in the city. In case of complications, the patients are referred to Capital Hospital/ KIMS Hospital. Transportation is ready 24×7 for students’ care.

A smart classroom is a technology-enhanced classroom that fosters opportunities for teaching and learning by integrating learning technology, such as computers, specialized software, audience response technology, assistive listening devices, networking, and audio/visual capabilities Designed for computer-enabled classrooms. SMART Classroom interactive learning software provides teachers with the essential tools to manage classrooms, assess students, and encourage collaboration REC has smart classrooms for each department which provides technology-enhanced classrooms.

We offer transportation facilities to the students, who reside in a radius of 40 Km from the college. Apart from this, there are numerous RTC services, so that our students can reach the college without any issues. To provide the utmost comfort for our students, we are offering 12 buses, which ply to many areas. These buses are always maintained in immaculate condition, and the drivers are highly experienced and they are excellent at safe driving. Hence, our transportation facilities are very safe for the students, and there is no need for the parents to worry about their children’s safety whatsoever.

The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled with a high-speed internet connection to allow the students to access the internet no matter where they are. The coverage of Wi-Fi is not only restricted to classrooms but also extends to all areas including the library, Auditorium, cafeteria, and hostels. All the websites browsed by him/her are regularly monitored.

The computer centre is well-equipped with computing resources to cater to the academic needs of the students. The centre is a constant hub of activities, providing a conducive learning environment. The trained technical staff is available to help the students.

For Students to stay Fit and Healthy, our campus is equipped with Gym and Fitness centre facilities. It has a Treadmill, Exercise Bikes and more of the latest fitness equipment. The Central Gym for men is equipped with Body Building Equipment. Both the Gyms and Fitness centres are open in the Morning and Evening hours.

The sports office makes all efforts to encourage students to participate in sports by organizing and controlling different sports and related events, developing the maintenance of sports infrastructure on the campus and also controlling the participation of students on the extra murals etc. The sports complex has a sports stadium with an office, a yoga hall, a weight lifting and powerlifting hall and space for games like cricket, football, athletics and volleyball, apart from facilities for fitness and games at the sports complex the sports equipment is also available in each of the hostels which have indoor games like Table Tennis, chess and carom. The Institute has an Incentive and Reword scheme in which outstanding student players are rewarded with cash, a tracksuit and a blazer for securing top positions and for representing the state and country.
