Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering is one of the hallmark institutes of Pune, established in 2001 to provide quality technical education. The institute is an icon in the field of engineering education in the state of Maharashtra. It is nurtured and managed by Jayawant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Trust. The Institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and Govt. of Maharashtra affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. At present, there are six Campuses namely Tathawade, Hadapsar, Wagholi, Bavdhan, Narhe, and Barshi. Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering provides various courses in the Engineering field ranging from diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

All undergraduate programs have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation New Delhi, three times. RSCE is also accredited by NAAC with an “A” grade (CGPA 3.26). Recently UGC has accorded Autonomy to RSCE which empowers RSCE to design a contemporary curriculum, which is relevant to industry to maximize the employability of graduates. The institute has received the “Best Professional College Award (Urban Category)” from SPPU, Pune.

RSCE is the winner of the AICTE-CII award in the Platinum Category for consecutive two years 2017-18, and 2018-19. Govt of India, MHRD–NIRF has ranked RSCE in the band of top 201 to 250 colleges of India, in the year 2020. The infrastructure at RSCE is conducive to research and has Lush Green Campus with State of Art Infrastructure Separate Hostels, a Gym, and a fleet of buses.

Campus

Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering is a pioneer in taking social initiatives by organizing various events to fulfilling social objectives to create social awareness and recognize talent in youth. It is inclusive of Donacharya Award for teachers, Gargi Award, Free Dental Check-up, Scholarship Awards, and Swachta Abhiyaan. Apart from sports activities, the college has plans for an annual visit to the industries in the nearby area. This helps in bridging the gap between industry and college. Various Activities held under AEES are workshops, Seminars, Industrial visits, Social activities, etc.

Library

The college has a well-established computerized Library (Jayawant Library) with a large collection of textbooks, reference books, technical journals, educational DVDs, and CDs for all courses offered through RSCE. In addition to print copies of relevant journals, the library has also subscribed to international online journals like IEEE, ASME, ASCE, ACM, EBSCO, Science Direct, ASTM, J-Gate(JET and (JSMS), which can be accessed and downloaded through the internet facility provided in the digital library. NPTEL video Lectures delivered by India’s best teachers are also available in the library. The library has taken renowned outside Library members like the British Council Library, Pune, Automotive Research Association of India, Pune, and ITT Mumbai Central Library for providing resources that are not available in Jayawant Library.

Placement

Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering's Training and Placement Cell (TAPC) works for creating employment and progression opportunities for the students. To enhance the employability of the students, TAPC provides various training programs like soft skills, aptitude skills & basic technical skills through internal and external experts.
