Rajarshi Shahu Mahavidyalaya (Autonomous), Latur, the higher educational institute of Shiv Chhatrapati Shikshan Sanstha, was established in 1970. In the beginning, we had to fight for survival due to the problems of accommodation, finance, and non-recognition by the elite class of the society of this region.
Rajarshi Shahu Mahavidyalaya (Standalone), Latur, Shiv Chhatrapati Shikshan Sanstha College was established in 1970. At first, we had to fight to survive because of the lack of housing, funding, and a lack of recognition from the social elites in the area. The situation turned out to be an advantage and opportunity for us in the truest sense of the word. Our goal is to provide quality education to the poorest students in the area. It began operations in June 1970 with just 51 art students and business students, and in 1971 introduced UG Science, then affiliated with Marathwada University in Aurangabad.
