Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering (RGCE) is a reputed Institution affiliated with AICTE, New Delhi, and Anna University, Chennai since 2001. It is a Christian minority institution run by the Gulf Returnees Educational Society (GRES). It is situated at Nemili, Sriperumbudur on the Chennai – Bengaluru - NH 4 National Highway. Sriperumbudur is an industrial hub with many reputed Industries. The College is well-equipped with the best of infrastructure and has highly accomplished professionals who form a part of the teaching and administrative staff. RGCE is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Institution that constantly strives hard to offer value-based quality education and training to students. To date, 13 batches of Engineering students have successfully passed out and are well-placed in different sectors all over India and abroad. The College offers 8 B.E. / B.Tech. programs at Under Graduate Level and Four M.E. Programmes at Post Graduate Level.

Infrastructure and facilities:

Central Library:

The Library is housed in a large area and contains textbooks, reference books, journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. It has a brilliant collection of over 25,500 books, reference volumes, journals, and periodicals. It is the place for major reference and research, responsible for collecting and developing knowledge. The college library functions for the benefit of the students and staff. The library is accessible to students from 8 am to 8 pm from Monday to Friday. The books are available in all disciplines and it is being continuously expanded by procuring the latest volumes every year. E-Journal facilities are also available to fulfill the needs of students and staff.

Hostel:

A separate hostel facility is provided to both boys and girls on the campus. The rooms are spacious, ventilated, and well-furnished. The college provides a hostel facility for boys and girls. Individual cots, cupboards, tables, and chairs are available for inmates. Easy access to the library, Canteen, and computer facilities is possible during leisure hours. A standby generator set to ensure an uninterrupted power supply to the hostellers is made available. The hostel provides an ideal ambiance with a quiet rural backdrop to make the inmates feel at home and take to serious study in a quiet and serene atmosphere. Separate canteen dining halls are available with a combined capacity of 500 for both boys and girls.

The Central Workshops caters to the need of the students of various Departments for Workshop Training.

The College auditorium is fully furnished with modern equipment such as multimedia projectors and high-quality sound systems. It has a large lobby and veranda, which are ideal venues for conferences and exhibitions. An Open-Air auditorium is also available for students to perform various seminars and symposiums and cultural events.

Clinic - Health and wellbeing :

The college has a clinic that is open throughout the day for the health and well-being of students and staff. Service of doctors is available at the clinic assisted by a resident nurse. Counselling Services are also available which help students with personal, living, study, or work-related concerns.
