Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology (RAIT), Navi Mumbai was established in 1983, to promote academic excellence in professional Engineering education, and is part of well known D.Y. Patil Group. It is a premier institution, holding pride in place among all the institutions in the group as well as all the technical institutes in the state. The institute is affiliated with Mumbai University. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), a statutory body of the government of India.

RAIT is an 'A' grade college approved by the Government of Maharashtra. Two of the undergraduate programs viz, Electronics Engineering and Computer Engineering are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation for a period of three years. The postgraduate programs are also affiliated with the University of Mumbai and approved by AICTE

Admission

Admission Process

The institute offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. RAIT Navi Mumbai admissions are offered to B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD programmes. RAIT Navi Mumbai admission to B.Tech programmes is done on the basis of candidates’ performance in MHT CET/ JEE Main/ Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT)/ DYPRAIT-ET. Then, candidates who meet the cutoff are required to participate in CAP counselling for choice filling, choice locking and seat allotment.

For RAIT Navi Mumbai admission to the M.Tech programme, candidates have to appear for GATE or DYPU Post Graduate Entrance Examination in Engineering (DYPRAIT-PG). Candidates who have valid GATE scores are exempted from appearing for DYPRAIT-PG. Following that, candidates who meet the cutoff marks have to participate in CAP counselling. As per the RAIT Navi Mumbai M.Tech admission, the non-GATE candidates are required to appear for the online entrance test followed by an online interview.

Scholarships

The institute offers scholarships to meritorious and needy students. Candidates are offered RAIT Navi Mumbai scholarships based on their performance in the preceding qualifying exams.
