The government of Karnataka established the Rani Channamma University Belagovi in 2010 and upgraded the Kittur Rani Post Graduate Centre in Belagavi. Founded in 1982, the Kittur Rani Channamma Post Graduate Centre is a premier institution of higher learning in the city. It is a great place to study and earn a degree. The campus covers an area of 178.14 acres. An entire area of campus is pollution-free, including noise pollution. The University owns a van that is used for transporting ailing students to the Government Hospital and KLE Hospital, both located in Belagavi city.
