Candidates seeking admission to the university must fulfill the basic eligibility criteria as prescribed for each course. Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses is done on the basis of entrance tests and merit scores in the same. On the other hand, the university conducts a Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) for admission to Ph.D. programs for each subject separately. The candidates who clear the interview test are required to sit for an interview in order to get selected for the course.

Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya also offers M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees under various specializations for the purpose of research. The M.Phil. course is offered in 24 different fields of study and the Ph.D. degree is offered in 10 different fields of study.

The University conducts a Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) for admission to the M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs, which is conducted for each subject separately at the University Teaching Departments. The candidates who clear the interview test are required to sit for an interview in order to get selected for the course.

Key Points:

For the M.Phil. courses, candidates who have qualified UGC / CSIR (JRF) examination NET / GATE / Teacher Fellowship holders shall be exempted from the entrance test

For the Ph.D. courses, candidates who have qualified in NET for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Foreign National with National / International like TWAS (Third World Academy of Science) shall be exempted from the entrance test.
