About Rayalaseema College of Physical Education, Proddatur

This is the first college of Physical education established under the private sector in the state of Andhra Pradesh and is credited with some outstanding achievements in the field of physical education. The College was born initially  with a Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.), and a Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) I ran courtesy of the Andhra Pradesh government seeing G.O. Ms No. 344, Edn. Department dt.27/5/1984 and with the affiliation of Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati from the year 198485.

Residential Accommodation

Separate boys' and girls' hostels with high security are available on the university campus. Boys and girls have two hostels with Wi-Fi services for UG and PG, which can accommodate about 150 students each with good infrastructure. A well-equipped gym is established so that the students of the inn develop the physical ability of boys and girls. They also have indoor play facilities. A hygienic mess is attached to the hostels. The Library

The college has one very spacious, well-lit, and airy reading hall, which can accommodate about 150 students both on the main campus and another library on the second campus. The head of the library guarantees access only to students with a student card. All the students are very disciplined and honest and there is an assistant to ensure the security of the material. The library attendant advises the students to establish their identity and they are advised to keep personal effects out of the stacking area and to register in the register of readers. 

Computer Center

The college boasts of an ultra-modern computer centre which caters to the demands of the faculty-student community. The centre is open to all teachers and students from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.24:00 Free internet access is available for teachers and students at this centre. It also helps teachers in need learn basic computer skills they can use to manage the latest technological tools in the classroom and make these teaching sessions more interesting and interactive. Many faculty members from science and social science departments use the center bought an image scanning scanner which is very useful for students and teachers.

Sport

The college has a playground measuring approximately 5 acres and a sports room in which all the sports equipment is kept safe. The college has a sports hall for the use of students and teachers. The college provides uniforms and kits for students attending various sporting events.

The female students are also encouraged to participate in sporting events by the physical education teacher, Smt. V. Vijaya Kumari. Separate times are assigned to female students who visit the gymnasium. They are encouraged to participate in indoor and outdoor games.

The college is very updated with the latest sports equipment, recently the College added a covered stadium, fully equipped with 4  Shuttle synthetic badminton courts to international standards.
