RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT) became set up in 1999 via way of means of the erstwhile Regional Computer Centre (RCC), Calcutta (in JU) as a completely unique joint project of NIC, Ministry of Communication & IT, Govt. of India and Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal. In 2003 the lead function of control of RCCIIT became transferred to the State Govt. from Govt. of India.

Facilities and Infrastructure

Library: 

The Library manages a reprographic center to cater to the wishes of the legal customers. The RCCIIT Kolkata has a well-organized placement cell that organizes an extensive training program for the students. It conducts grooming, communications, and soft skills training programs to enhance the performance and confidence of students during interviews. In the year 2021, a total of 209 offers are placed by reputed companies. The highest CTC is recorded at INR 15 LPA and the average CTC is recorded at INR 4 LPA. The lowest CTC is offered at INR 2 LPA.
