Selection Procedure
Admission based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) involves prospective students taking a standardized test that is accepted by multiple universities for admission purposes. The CUET is designed to assess the academic aptitude and readiness of applicants across various disciplines. Universities that recognize and participate in the CUET use test scores as a significant criterion for evaluating and selecting candidates for admission to their programs. This approach provides a standardized and fair method for universities to assess the capabilities of applicants, streamlining the admission process for both institutions and prospective students.
Reservation
The reservation of seats in educational institutions as per the Government of India/University Grants Commission (UGC) norms involves allocating a certain percentage of seats to specific categories of individuals based on social and economic considerations. These norms are typically designed to promote social justice, inclusion, and equal opportunities for historically marginalized or underrepresented groups. Common categories for reservation include Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and economically weaker sections (EWS). The implementation of seat reservation aims to ensure a diverse and inclusive student population, fostering equal access to educational opportunities for all segments of society. The specific reservation percentages and eligibility criteria are determined by the respective government authorities or the UGC, and educational institutions are required to adhere to these guidelines during the admission process.
UGC Guidelines
RGNIYD adheres to the reservation policy in line with the guidelines and instructions provided by the University Grants Commission (UGC). This policy ensures the implementation of affirmative action measures to promote social equity and inclusivity in the admission process. The reservation policy typically includes provisions for categories such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and economically weaker sections (EWS). The specific reservation percentages and eligibility criteria are determined by the UGC, and RGNIYD follows these guidelines to ensure a fair and balanced representation of students from diverse backgrounds. This commitment aligns with the broader goal of fostering equal educational opportunities and creating a more inclusive learning environment.
Duration of the Academic Programme
Each postgraduate program at RGNIYD has a duration of four semesters. The curriculum has been meticulously designed to offer aspiring candidates the flexibility to engage in six months of comprehensive projects. These projects provide students with valuable hands-on experience and can be pursued at renowned national or international organizations, as well as leading multinational corporations (MNCs). This unique feature enhances the practical exposure and real-world applicability of academic learning, allowing students to apply their knowledge in a professional setting and gain insights into the complexities of their chosen field.
