Admission at Rajiv Gandhi University

Rajiv Gandhi University offers BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BFA, BCA, B.Music, and BALLB at the undergraduate level. BA B.Sc and B.Sc are available in a variety of streams. The duration of these programs is three years. BALLB can be offered for five years. Candidates must meet the minimum qualification of the 12th class (arts/commerce or Science) stream at a recognized Board. The admission process for these programs will be granted by way of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).

BCA and MCA are three-year courses that are taught in six semesters, whereas M.Tech, MBA and MSW are two-year courses with each semester lasting four semesters. To be admitted to the M.Tech program, applicants with valid GATE scores are preferred. For M.Tech for Electronics and Computer Engineering, AIMETE and IETE graduates are also eligible to apply. MBA and MSW applicants MBA and MSW applicants are required to sit for a written test and then a personal interview.

RGU provides M.Phil and Ph.D programmes that cover Anthropology, Hindi, Economics and Political Science as well as the Tribal Science, Mass Communication, Commerce, History, Geography, Botany and Zoology. Admission is determined by the result of RGUMPET followed by a Personal Interview. Holders of UGC/CSIR-JRF are exempted from the entrance test and are required to attend the personal interview only.
