The Educational Technology laboratory is well equipped with computers with Internet facilities. The lab is well furnished with Audio –visual equipment like LCD, OHP, Camera, DVD, Tape recorder, etc., The students are using these facilities during Seminars, Micro-teaching sessions, and for their practical works like Web site analysis and PowerPoint Presentations

RKRCE Physical Science Laboratory

The Physical Science Laboratory is well-designed, furnished, equipped, and ventilated. There are provisions for water supply, disposal, electrical outlets, and storage of materials. The laboratory consists of apparatus, instruments, and chemicals pertaining to X, XI, and XII std., syllabus of Tamilnadu. The lab is well-stocked to conduct various experiments in Physics and Chemistry. The student-teachers are trained in getting hands-on experience in doing experiments as well as to acquire the skill of demonstration. They are also taught the skill of maintaining, and organizing the laboratory work in order to enable them to be effective teachers in the near future.

The college has a very good library. There are about 6750 books including reference books, various journals, and Magazines available in our college library. The photocopying facility and computers with internet facilities are also available.

RKRCE Biological Science Laboratory

The Biological Science laboratory is well-constructed and equipped with good ventilation. The Lab is arranged in such a way that it has a provision for both classroom teaching and practical work. The student teachers are trained so that they acquire the skill of demonstration and skill of drawing. The student teachers are trained in maintaining and organizing the lab so, that they become efficient science teachers. The student's teachers are trained in doing many Biological Experiments like dissection, sectioning, slide identification and physiological Experiment, observation of Animal and Plant specimens, etc.,

RKR College of Education ADMISSION & ELIGIBILITY

RKRCE ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO THE B.Ed PROGRAMME

The candidates should have undergone a 10+2+3(15) or 12+3+2(17) pattern of study and passed the qualifying examination conducted by the respective State Board or CBSE or any other recognized Board of Education / Examination and UG Degree Examination of the UGC-recognized Universities in any one of the school subjects offered by the Directorate of School Education at the Secondary / Higher Secondary Education level.

Candidates, who have passed the UG or PG Degree under the Open University System without qualifying in 11 years of SSLC Examination and one year of Pre-University Course (P.U.C) examination or 10+2 pattern of School Education Examination are not eligible for admission, even if they subsequently qualify in one year SSLC and one year PUC or 10+2 pattern of School Education Examination.

Candidates, who have qualified for the PG Degree (5-year integrated course) under 10 + 2 + 5 or 11+1+5 pattern of study, shall be considered for admission.

Any UG or PG degree from a recognized board or university with a minimum of 50% marks obtained
