About Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao College of Education, Guntur

Before 1967, there were only three colleges in Guntur town to serve the need for higher education in the Guntur district. Realising the need for education, students were coming in large numbers from rural areas to pursue collegiate education in Guntur town. The three colleges that were existing in those days used to have a good demand and they could not provide opportunities for many students.

The Library

The institute has a very large and spacious library on the ground floor of the building. The measurements of the bookcase are: (80 x 30) feet and the carpet area is 2,400 square feet. The library has a total of 9,650 books, 29 journals, 569 reference works, 6,483 titles, and 25 doctorates. thesis, 07 M.Phil. dissertations and numerous M.Ed. dissertations. There are two wings: the student wing has 100 places and the staff wing has 20 places. The library is organized by the library committee which deals with matters related to the operation and improvement of the library. Students and staff will be able to obtain copies of Photostat from the library only by paying the cost of the paper.

Health and Physical Education Resource Center: (including yoga instruction)

The Health and Physical Education Resource Center is located on the 3rd floor of the building measuring (20 x 30) feet with an area of ?? 600 square feet.

Art and Craft Resource Center

The institution's arts and crafts resource centre is located on the second floor of the building. Physical measurements are (30 x 30) feet with 900 square feet. carpet area. It is a place to illuminate hidden talents, especially in the arts among student teachers. It consists of photographs of prominent musicians and flexes representing different art forms such as puppetry. Many images reveal different dance forms such as Kuchipudi, Bharat Natyam, Manipuri, etc.

Multi-purpose Halls  

The multi-purpose halls of all academic institutions are like a backbone. All congregational activities of the institute will take place in the multipurpose rooms. The dimensions of the  Hall Pocket Knife are (60 x 30) feet with a carpet area of 1800 square feet. It is well equipped with an adequate sound system and a large diameter. The capacity of this room is about 300 people. It is suitable for performing functions. It is located on the ground floor so that it is also accessible to the elderly.

Multipurpose playgrounds  

The institute has two multipurpose playgrounds shared with two other interested sister institutions. The  J.K.C College has a cricket stadium, basketball courts, volleyball courts and an indoor shuttle court. The other is Dr K.L.P.The public school has a field used primarily for athletics events and also used for football.
