Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya is an agricultural state university located in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was established in 2008 by bifurcating the horticulture department and the veterinary science & animal husbandry department out of Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya.
The Rajmata Vijayaraje Sindia Vishwavidyalaya is among the most prestigious agricultural public research universities situated in India. It was founded in 2008 The university has the goal of promoting education particularly more advanced studies in field of agriculture. The University is a connected and action-oriented network of educational and research centers that operate in the fields of agriculture and related fields across the state. Furthermore, the climate ranges from semi-arid to sub humid and hot summers and cool, dry winter and a 600-1000mm mean rainfall range.
Rajmata Vijayaraje and Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) and Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Grade "B ++".

Infrastructure

Central Library
The library of the university is among the largest libraries located in Madhya Pradesh. This means that it houses nearly 712 printed books, 1298 gifted books. The collection that includes reference books, textbooks as well as 139 e-books 52 e-journals, 07 printed journals as well as 1538 thesis papers for UG, PG and Ph.D. Additionally, there is a library of E-Library. The subject matter of study include Horticulture, Agriculture Animal Husbandry, as well as other fields of study in the Library.
Computer Laboratory
The college is equipped with an IT lab that has 50 computers and an LCD projector. Additionally, every computer is provided with internet connectivity. The lab is currently being transformed to be a resource centre that allows efficient use of both internal as well as outsourced resources. So, all faculties at the college are equipped with computers and an internet facility in their workplaces.
Hostels
Hostels are an essential element of every college. In addition, hostels are the location that is considered as "Home Away from Home". The campus of the University provides accommodation for girls and boys.
Medical Centre
Since there is a direct linkage between academic performance and health and academic performance, there is the need for a medical center on campus. Additionally, this facility demonstrates that universities today can't concentrate solely on academic instruction; they require health facilities too. Medical centre at the University is a fully-fledged facility with a full-time Medical Officer and two doctors on a part-time basis (based on prior commitments for using local hospitals as well as services in the event of an emergency) which are supported by a support personnel. Additionally, the medical centre is equipped with a numerous facilities such as one electronic BP apparatus that has a an electronic pulse reader, a silicone stand, often required medications, dressing materials and a bed for patients.

National Talent Scholarship: There is the National Talent Scholarship for the students of the Rajmata Scindia Krishi Vidyalaya.
The Junior Research Fellowship This award is offered to Ph.D. students enrolled at the institute.
Vikramaditya Yojna: This award is also offered to pupils of V.V. Students must apply to the university in order to be eligible for this scholarship.
The placement cell aids students to find jobs and assists them in placements. Additionally, the cell provides guidance to students and assists students to apply for scholarships and help in navigating careers in regular intervals.

Admission to the university is made on merit and scores obtained through entrance exams.
Admissions to UG courses are conducted in conjunction through VYAPAM and ICAR. Admissions are made by the merit rank gained during the examination and clearing of the medical test.
Admissions to Postgraduate programs are determined by GPA scores. Additionally, the scores of MP-PAT entrance tests are valid for admissions.
The Works have been performed/completed and in progress under modernization of agriculture university/farms i.e. Conditioned Controlled Horticulture Storage at Gwalior. Numbers of works completed and in progress under the head (Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana) i.e. Threshing Floor, Implement Shed,Renovation of field labs, Chick pea Lab, Peagon pea Lab.
Renovation of Colleges research laboratories modernization of Four Threshing Floor, Implement Shed & Seed Stores etc. have been performed similarly works have been performed in different Research programs on crop improvement such as wheat, chickpea,soybean pearl millet, mustard, pigeon pea, cotton, sorghum, safflower medicinal and aromatic plants grapes and spices etc. natural resources management such as soil, water and forest etc. plant protection, fodder crops.
