Admissions to the Diploma Courses in S. Thangapazham Polytechnic College is an application-based process which is purely based on the merit ranking list that is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the S.L.C.C/SSC examination or its equivalent examination.

For the 2nd year or lateral entry admission into the 6 specialized diploma courses, the marks secured in the 12th board exams or any other equivalent training or certification course will be taken into the consideration.

Admission Procedure

• Admission notice is published in all the leading newspapers after S.L.C.C/SSC exam results are out usually in the month of April/May of each academic year.
• Application form for admission of a student wanting admission in Diploma Courses should reach the Principal office within the prescribed time along with the copies of all the required documents.
• Students are shortlisted for the further interview based on the data filled and ranking list.
• The seats to the Courses will get allocated based on the merit-obtained in qualifying examination (ranking list).
• An interview for the shortlisted candidates takes place before the selection committee.
• The students should submit the application form along with the two attested copies of original certificate should be submitted at the time of admission.
• Paying the fees gets the candidates the seat in their desired specialized course.
