The SVCET is a non-profit institution run by the S.Veerasamy Chettiar Educational and Charitable Trust. Lecture Hall:

The Lecture Hall at SVCET has been designed as one of the most dynamic venues of its kind. This venue offers the best possible acoustics for seminars, meets, and other functions. For conventions and meetings, the Lecture Hall has tremendous flexibility. It also can be used for fashionable consultation displays or for concurrent sessions. The Lecture Hall is a full-service presentation center equipped with modern technologies. There are spaces for groups of nearly any size, providing great flexibility for students and guests for a neat accommodation.

Computer Center:

Computer Center is conceived of as a functionally distributed computing environment, with sophisticated software packages, and connected by a powerful high-speed network. The central computing facility is well networked by high-end switches and routers and provides with latest Pentium class Machines of reputed company brands like Wipro. All the computer systems on the campus are well connected to the computer center. All the machines in the lab are provided with original and lasting software.

Central Library:

The Central Library is situated in the center of the campus so that everyone can easily access it. There is a separate spacious building that is exclusively set aside for the library to accommodate large volumes of books and journals. The Central Library has a big series of 19467 volumes of books. 56 journals/magazines at the National/international level and 900 CDs/Floppies have been provided. The library is classified under Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC), latest edition.

Transportation:

The college has 25 buses which are made available to the students and faculty members for commuting from various points in and around Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, and Virudhunagar District to the campus and back. This facility has made it possible to start classes on time and thereby helping the academic process. Our bus facilities have enabled us to maintain discipline among students.

Auditorium:

In SVCET centrally air-conditioned auditorium is the hub of pre-placement talks (PPT).By corporate, international, and National Conferences and Cultural Events.

Hostel:

The college has a well-established hostel for both boys and girls separately. Student requirements are fulfilled immediately. On any medical emergency, there is always a campus doctor available to take care of medical needs of hostel inmates and there is an all time transport available to take care of any emergency situation. Mineral water facilities are provided by Water Health Association (WHO) for draining purposes.

Foodcourt:

Dining hall with marble-top dining facilities. Separate vegetarian and nonvegetarian menus are available. Electronic pesto flash in the dining halls & kitchen.Mineral water for drinking.Monthly open-air special dinner.Night tea during study holidays and exams.Transparent accounting system. Fresh vegetables are purchased from the wholesale market daily.

Education at SVCET isn’t confined to the courses a student selects; our endeavor is to aid in the overall development of each of our students. This includes physical fitness, mental and physical agility, team spirit, and the discipline and drive required to work towards a goal, not to mention the ability to loosen up and have some fun. That’s where our extensive sports facilities fit in; we encourage our students to pursue excellence in their chosen sports, providing them with the infrastructure and guidance to excel.

Admission

A pass in H.Sc. (Vocational Stream in any one of the Vocational courses listed hereunder with the related subject noted against each course. A pass in H.Sc. (Academic with Maths, Physics, and Chemistry.Any other equivalent qualification approved by the State Board of Technical Education / Higher Secondary Board of Tamilnadu. Candidates belonging to communities other than SC/ST should have passed the qualifying examination in not more than two appearances.
